Santa Cruz Bicycles Nomad Mountain Bike - X9 AM Build Kit 2009
April 25, 2010
There is no "R" version on this model year Lyric. Rock Shox just simply calls it the "solo air". Which is exactly what the bike comes with. Just look at the zoom pic above and it's pretty clear.

Rocky Mountain Vertex 30 XC Bike
April 25, 2010
Yes/kinda and Not really lol. The components are the major difference in price, but also the Team frame is scandium tubing with a carbon seatstay. Also I wouldn't consider the sport a racing fs xc bike. It's too heavy and the component spec wouldn't be ideal for anything more than very recreational racing. Hope this helps!

Intense Cycles M6 FRO Frame
December 2, 2009
Ok just to clear things up, saying Intense is not the best at providing parts for old frames is not true. It may take time but they can make you just about anything for your old frame. I got a swingarm for a 2001 Uzzi SL last year for a customer no prob. With that said I do much prefer the M6 over the M3. The M3 feels very short in the coqpit, BB feels tall, and no matter what it just doesn't seem to absorb bumps like the M6. If all you can afford is the M3 thats cool you'll like it, but if you can cough up the cash for the M6, do it! you'll LOVE it!!

Easton Havoc Disc Wheelset
August 25, 2009
This is a 28mm width rim which is an awesome size because you can run a huge range of tires, pretty much anything from 2.1 - 2.6 and everything in between.

Mavic C29ssmax 29er - Wheel or Wheelset
August 25, 2009
Well the 9 and 20 mil refers to the axle size. Yes for the most part mountain bikes are standardized at 9mm axles. Though many people are now prefering a bigger axle because they are realizing how much better the bike steers with a stiffer (tortionally) front end. This is where the 20mm comes in, and now the new 15mm. Both of these provide a better handling bike by reducing the amount of "slop" while cornering...etc. So basically up in the options box you just have to choose 9mm if you have a standard for or 20mm if you have a big fat axle. Hope this helps! =)

Rocky Mountain Slayer SS 396 Bike
August 10, 2009
It weighs about 42 lbs. The 427 is lighter because the component spec is higher end and in turn less weight.

Avid Juicy Ultimate Disc Brake

Just look on the side of your current rotor and it will be written in millimeters. Generally it will be either one of these: 140, 160-165ish, 180, or 203.

Serfas Tire Lever - 3 Pack
July 29, 2009
If your wanting a plastic lever set and worried about strength I would go for the Pedro's lever set. The Pedro's are by far the strongest plastic levers I've ever used and can even mount monstrosities like downhill tires.

Giro Remedy Bike Helmet
June 29, 2009
I'd go with the medium. The remedy comes with some extra pads to take up any extra slack. I prefer a helmet with some extra padding rather than the other way around.

You could also try out the Easton Havoc's. They are super stout and would be more friendly for a DJ use.

Geax Mezcal Mountain Bike Tire
June 26, 2009
The weights go as follows for the Mezcal 1.9:
TNT - 570g
UST - 680g
Foldable - 430g
Rigid (steel bead) - 570g
TNT is a tire that Geax says you can use with out without a tube, however it does not have the same butyl casing as the UST specific version tire. The TNT is the same weight as their steel bead tire, but if your running tubes go for the foldable version because it is crazy light at 430g

Medium - Average rider between 130-170 lbs.
Large - Average rider between 170-210.
XL - Average rider between 210- 240
The sizing on this page doesn't go by this, but this is how TLD does it. I'll email the content guys to get H&R sizes standardized to this.

Troy Lee Designs D2 Carbon Helmet
June 21, 2009
The weight difference is about .4 lbs. I know that does not sound like a whole lot, but let me tell you, when top racers in the world like sam hill are trying shave single grams by adding TI bolts etc., .4lbs equates to a ton. Not having that extra weight on your head while your out shredding on a hot summer day really does make a difference.

Intense Cycles M6 FRO Frame
March 25, 2009
In general the sag on th M6 is very comparable to the Iron Horse Sunday or Santa Cruz V10, in which the ballpark sag is approximately 35%. The stock spring that comes on the M6 is best suited for riders 140-175lbs. Anyone weighing less than or more than those weights should ride the bike and then decide if they feel as though they should swap out. Just an FYI: if you are going to swap springs there is a titanium version available!
