For DH bike use, but these soft elbow guards are comfortable & stay in place better than others I've tried (fox & rock garden). They're flexible but seem to sustain/cushion impact very well. Had an issue with the stitching/seam blowing out but it's not a big deal - they've offered to replace them but I'll probably just sew them up.
They're not obnoxious looking or bulky which is a big plus.
