Sombrio Pinner Mountain Bike Short - Men's

The Sombrio Pinner Short is a DH/FR short, for trails so hairy they make gorillas look bald. The Pinner's burly 4-way stretch softshell fabric laughs at hip-checks and slapping branches, wicks sweat with its thirsty interior finish, and cleans up so well, your buddies will wonder where you keep getting new shorts. A slot compartment with a self-retracting cord makes keeping track of your lift pass super-simple, while ample pocket space (including a hidden stash pocket) takes care of gloves and sunscreen with room to spare. The Pinner's extra-long length keeps your knees under cover, even in dropped DH saddles.

Bottom Line: Riding shorts by and for the freeride clan.

Best Shorts I Have Ever Owned

By:

These shorts straight up rock. I've worn them for a full season. They are super tough I know because I am not the smoothest rider, so I crash more than my share. The stretch material is awesome they make these shorts so comfortable to ride in. They have classic Sombrio style so you don't look like a weeny walking around in your bike shorts. They are expensive but worth the price of admission.

Great short, super comfy

Have always loved the Pinners, have to say i don't like them as much as my '08s the have a snap closure on the right pocket instead of the cool magnet and not super stoked on location of the vents. I think the '07s we're actually the best of the bunch. '08s didn't have a zippered left pocket so now where to keep things safe except for the back pocket which isn't great for sitting on whatever's in your pocket. All in all a killer short though.

Very happy with these shorts. I use them all the time, even wearing over my workout clothes going back and forth to the gym. Love the material, washes up well. I could live in these:)

Liked the first ones so much had to get another!

I love all of Sombrio's stuff, these shorts are hands down my favorite biking shorts I have tried..I first thought they were a little pricy, but after about 50-60 hard rides these are still going strong. Stains wash out very easy I have noticed too. A few of the stiches in the a$$ area have started to come out but still holding together for now.. I just ordered a second pair.

Werd to the mother, get these!

The Pinner is Sick.

The only complaint I have is there's no liner, but sometimes I don't wear one anyway so whatever. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, the rest of the package is kickass. Baggy but not stupid-baggy (they look narrow in the photo; they aren't) and burly as hell. Full stretch so they don't cramp when pedaling, pass clip for my Deer Valley pass, magnet pocket closure...and they look super-rad. Can't stain em, can't rip em, don't sweat in em either. BTW I use them for freeride/DH, not XC. Highly recommended.

Awesome shorts!!

I love my Sombrio Pinner FRD Bike Shorts. They have a slimmer fit which is nice when you're moving and shaking out on the single track. The crotch doesn't get caught on the seat like other shorts i've used. The pockets are placed well and the pass pocket is a cool addition, it keeps your lift pass in a convenient out of the way place. These shorts are also very durable. Even after some gnarly crashes they still look good enough to wear out and about. Great shorts.

Got my Sombrio Pinner FRD Bike Shorts recently and I love them. The pockets are all put in the right places. Love the magnetic closures on the pockets too. Fabric has a great feel and looks great too. Belt loops let me keep my shorts up more efficiently since my ass disappeared.
