Six Six One Kyle Strait Knee Guard

You'll hardly notice the ultralight, comfortable Six Six One Kyle Strait Knee Guard when you rip down a trail, but you'll sure be happy it's there when you wreck. The Kyle Straight Knee Guards work great on rides when you want a little protection but the full-on leg gear seems a bit too much. Six Six One added padding on the front and sides, so your knees stay in one piece no matter how you ragdoll.

Bottom Line: Good for riding; good for wrecking.

good pads

By:
September 7, 2009

I liked the pads on the sides of the knee. There is a thin removable (for washing) piece of plastic covering the patella, the EVOs dont have that. I thought that the back side was a little uncomfortable when bending the knee because of fabric bulk (like most pads). These seem to protect better than the Evo but wont breathe as much. I liked these but I prefer the Fox launch shorty.

Very good pads!

I highly recommend these pads, protects very well without having to wrap your whole leg up.

The only thing I don't recommend these pads for are long enduro rides. I wore these pads to a new riding location and after about 10-12 miles the pads started to rub a little bit.

These are okay, but they still have an inflexible/hard shell aspect to them. These things kick ass:http://www.backcountry.com/store/SSO0028/Six-Six-One-Evo-d3o-Knee-Pad.html

Good Stuff

These pads are very good in cooler areas. Living in in SO Cal they get warm. Flex is pretty good, and I like the hard knee cap. Wish I had theses in Whistler this past summer, would have saved my knee. If you are looking for new pads you will be happy with these.

Awesome

I use these more than any other pads I have - dh, fr, trail, etc - super comfy unless it's scorching out. I wear them snowboarding in the winter ever since I clipped a buried rock with my knee...

Sawweeet!

I'm using these for dh, freeriding, and dirt jumping.

Low profile with lots of protection.

They stay put once they're on and you don't have to worry about them sliding around.

I'm stoked on these.

recommended but more for down hill than for trail

Ok this are good knee guards, but you need to know it is bulky and not lithg, and hot. So if you need good comfort protection and not worried about overheating on a trail it would work for you.

Comfortable!

Light, comfortable, they dont slide down. i havent taken a real hard crash but have crashed on some rocky terrain that would have tore me up and they did the Job. Also you can wash them!

Blood Stoppers

By:
September 29, 2009

I've owned my new pads now for only 4 rides now, but I totally dig'm. Since I rode with without any knee protection prior to getting the pads, I find myself being a bit more aggressive knowing I am a bit more protected. Hope this isn't a false sense of security. Anyways, my riding buddy took a spill on the same day I wore my pads for the first time and he wasn't wearing any knee protection. Needless to say, I recommended some blood stoppers just like mine.

super nice

I live and ride in hot sunny Florida and these are great. Once they are on I dont even notice them. I ride mostly aggressive XC and have no issues with them rubbing or falling off my skinny legs. Very comfy and look pimp!
