Serfas 6-LED White Headlight w/ Batteries

If you feel like you're headlight is never pointing in quite the right direction, try the Serfas SL-200 Headlight. This LED headlight has 60-degree side-to-side movement. Six white LEDs cast light on the trail and road, while three modes let you choose between a steady, flashing, and low beam. The quick-release ratcheting bracket on the LS-200 makes it easy to take this Serfas headlight off for day rides. *Batteries included.

Bottom Line: Shed LED light in the right direction.

Not bad

It's not a bad light. It's very bright and I like how you can position it. The clip is has on it is pretty small and I have trouble getting it on my bike. But it is very removable which is cool. Overall not bad.

Nice light for the price...

For the money this is a very good light. It's easily attached to your handlebars, and the pivoting mount is a real plus. I currently have 2 of these mounted to my bike, I use one in flashing mode and one on steady. One thing that is misleading in the description though, there isn't 3 modes, just 2, on and flashing, no low beam. Another plus is an LED in the switch lights up red when the batteries are getting low.

Does the job

I like the pivoting feature and it is easy to take on and off without having to attach a separate mounting device. Its good when you are switching between different bikes a lot. Not the best if you are wanting to light up a trail (I don't think its meant for that anyway), but you'll be visible to cars at night for sure.

Adequate light, like the easy on/easy off

By:

I am happy that I bought this light. It operates in two modes: on and flashing. It's definitely not super bright--this light is only designed to let others see you (not necessarily the other way around). But, my commute is short and slow-paced; mostly I just want to make sure I don't startle any old ladies on the sidewalk. I really like the quick-clamp mount; I can give the light to my wife and she can use it on her bike. (Also, I can leave it in my satchel during the day, and I don't have to worry about someone ripping it off when the bike is locked up.) Once mounted, the light also pivots about the clamp. This mounting configuration allows for up/down AND left/right beam pointing, which is nice. I am happy that I bought this. I would recommend it, unless you are looking for something to actually illuminate the road and then you should probably get something else.
