Oakley Hand Ratchet Bike Glove
Developed for the pros, the Oakley Hand Ratchet Bike Glove begs to be challenged. Made of featherweight, bombproof HAR, and padded with war department Kevlar, your hands retain their manicured mintiness even when you yard sale coming down Mt. Tam. The Clarino palm absorbs moisture and high-friction finger zones keep your grip dialed through the washboard. Strap up the non-bunching Velcro® cuff, wipe your blood onto the terry nose wipe, and ratchet through the boulder garden in the Oakley Hand Ratchet Bike Glove.
Bottom Line: Show the tourists that locals own the place, or beat the local snobs at their own game.

This is my second pair of Oakley gloves and like the first pair the thumb is really tight and low volume (length is ok). They seem to be stretching a bit though so thats good. My hand is the much closer to a large in size than it is to an extra large but I purchased the extra large beacause my previous gloves from Oakley were Large and they fit tighter than I like. I wear large in almost all ski gloves etc... Anyhow, I would say these fit a little on the small side so don't be afraid to go up a size if you are in between. Otherwise the gloves are really sweet. I love the sweat cloth on the thumb for wiping when needed. The padding on the knuckles is just enough to make a difference if you clip a tree or something with your hand bars. They seem like they are built to last.

I'd go large. If it's too small it'll constrict movement and you won't be able to grip the bars very well, and that won't do.

Tom, did you end up going with the M or L? Oakley clothing seems to fit a bit on the bigger side, so Im leaning towards a M

I love these Oakley Hand Ratchet Mountain Bike gloves, they fit good and close to my hands, no bunching up on the fingertips to impede my grip on the handlebars. Shifting gears is smooth, the fingers have small raised bumps for better grip. Knuckles are padded significantly. I haven't crashed in them yet but if and when I do, my hands will surely be protected sufficiently. I bought these to replace a pair of Pearl Izumis that I had worn out after years of service, and the only thing I would improve in these Oakleys is to feature palm padding like those Izumis had. I miss the palm padding to absorb some of the shock on the trail. Overall though you can't go wrong with these Oakleys, they look incredible and very warrior-like. Get'em and attack that mountain! Grrrr!
