Gravity Light Crankset

Sam Hill used the Gravity Light Crankset for his domination of the 2007 World Cup Downhill season. Yep, the one where he basically won everything. These cranks obviously destroy a downhill race, but they also handle freeride trails and slopestyle contests with ease. Stainless pedal inserts add an extra helping of durability, and the Gravity Light Crankset’s low weight helps you get your DH race bike under the 40lb mark.

Bottom Line: Win your own rainbow stripes.

Best DH crank around!

I've had these cranks on my DH bike for about a year now. They are super light especially for my version having an 83mm bottom bracket width. I like everything about these cranks except one thing. If you are truly super heavy or jump huge stuff you will notice it only takes about one season to bend these slightly. I've already seen some friends bend theirs'. For me I have had zero issues and could not ask for a better crank, so I still gave it 5 stars.

Does this crank have the removable tab adapter for the small

Does this crank have the removable tab adapter for the small ring? I want to swap from bash-32-22 to 1 chain ring w/ upper and lower chain guides. Or do I have to buy the Single ring crank with bash that has the recessed small ring tabs then buy the small ring adapter?

These are lighter than my XC cranks and they are stiffer and stronger too. They have stainless inserts for the pedals which is nice. Other than that its a pretty straight forward crank. As usual FSA is good quality stuff and they back their products.

I have a gary fisher opie and the crankset has 24/34/42. Does it matter if i want to install a crankset with 22/32/bash guard? will it work?

You will have to adjust your limit screw for your front derailleur but it should mount up fine if you have a 68-73mm bb width.

Gravity Light Crankset

Great, stiff, strong, durable, crankset. Have had these on my bike now for about a year and they are holding up great. My bike has a very low bottom bracket height, hitting rocks is inevitable, with several repeated rock hits, these are still staight and true. There are several complaints out about the Isis drive coming loose while riding, while I had the same problems when I first put these on, if you tighten them to the recommended torque settings you will not have any more problems. These need to be really tight, otherwise, they will come loose while riding.
