Giro Remedy Bike Helmet
Exorcise your downhill and freeride demons with the confidence of full-face protection in the Giro Remedy Helmet. Tree branches and thorns get the brush-off, as do the grin-killing pebbles your bro tosses up in his rooster when you're bombing down the mountain at Mach 3. That said, you might never eat another mouthful of dust again, because the Remedy's faceplant insurance plan has a knack for helping you push yourself further and faster than ever.
Bottom Line: Giro provides the Remedy, to cure your fear of freeride annihilation and place you on the podium.

Helmets look great, have amazing vision, very very light weight, can take impacts that you probably shouldn't be having and it fits very well as long as you get the right size ;)

Got to love this helmet! Fits perfect, I have a med. It has a nice big and open view so your vision is still there. It will fit most/any goggles i use spy, Oakley, rockgardn.
Its Light!
Cool Looking!

Awesome Price!

I'd go with the medium. The remedy comes with some extra pads to take up any extra slack. I prefer a helmet with some extra padding rather than the other way around.

Great helmet for the price, though I continually lust after a carbon D2...

My kid wears this helmet and loves it. He has hit the deck a few times, and a tree. Well worth it.
Too bad I can't keep up with him.

Light, Comfortable, and Bomber

The Giro Remedy is an awesome full face helmet - it's lighter than expected, very comfortable, breathable and does not obstruct the rider's vision on trail. Between my Giro Hex and this Remedy, I trust Giro to keep my dome in one piece - Giro really has the bike helmet biz dialed-in. The Remedy is of course a perfect choice for riding any downhill/freeride trails; however, because of it's light weight and great venting it is also my choice for those rides when I'm not sure how burly the trail is going to be...when in doubt, I break the Remedy out. The sizing chart on this page should be utilized to ensure you order the correct size - that said, I was on the boarder between a med and large and dropped down to the Medium. It was a bit tight at first, but once the padding packed-out a little (1 day wearing it), it fits perfectly.

I'v crashed many of times riding Whistler. Landed on my face a fair bit lol. and would recommend this lid to anyone looking for affordable, decent looking, protection. My 4 yr old fits a adult small and took a shot to the face on his first run down easy does it and he got up fine with no dental work needed.... A +++++ bargain
Very Good Helmet

I bought this after a friend had a face plant that ended up breaking every bone in his face. This makes me feel safe, although it has not yet been put to the ultimate test--that is, I haven't fallen on my head or face yet. It also looks good, and is light for the protection it gives. I recommend it highly.

A Giro remedy is on my husbands Christmas list and there seems to be several types out there - S, Zombie, composite, carbon etc. What's the difference?

There are basically 2 types of Giro Remedy helmet. The "regular" and the CF. The Cf is made of carbon fiber, thus being twice as much, but 5 oz less heavy. I can't say that 5 oz, will make a big difference overall - personally I think most carbon fiber equipment is made mostly for racers and a little bit of overkill for the average rider, but to each his own. I will say this, I like the remedy much better than the Six Six One full-face helmets.

Reasonably light, tough, affordable, and you can take out the liners to wash them, which is crucial since NO full-face is really all that cool in 85-degree heat. Makes me feel safe and keeps the branches out of my grill without obstructing my vision. Sized a bit big so if you usually take a Large I would suggest a Medium instead.

I am no down hill phenom and my crashes prove it making me appreciate this full face helmet even more. My teeth and side of my head are grateful. Great fit. Ventilation is not bad for a full face helmet. Does what it should.
