exactly what I wanted

I have the 2.2 TNT version as my front tire and absolutely love it. As mentioned in other reviews it was hard to get on my rim, actually broke two tire irons trying. however, once its on life was better. I would suggest getting the foldable tire unless you run tubeless though. Save the weight and the tirelevers.

great sand traction

By:

I've rolled the 2.2 TNT version of this tire for a week now on my rear wheel out here in central Arizona....sharp rocks, sandy washes, sand over hard switchbacks. The tread is pretty dense/hard, so performance on rock (edging, conformance, etc) is not the best, but this tire excels in the loose and dry conditions. I'm not worried about mud since it is such a rarity for me in the desert. I goofed and bought the TNT when I had intended to buy the foldable version to save a bit of weight, but I won't be returning the TNT...just ordering another foldable. Given the dense tread, I can see this tire lasting a lot longer than some of the other tires I've had on the rear.

Good all purpose tire!

By:

Fast rolling, grippy, awesome all purpose tire! I use it in the rear for my Niner, and love it. Does clog up quickly with mud, so better for dry or sandy conditions. Loam would be decent, but wet clay will clog it up.

Definitely recommend.

29 x 2.2 TNT Version

By:

I would love to revieew this tire...but I cannot get it on my friggin' Stan's Flow rim. I am an experienced bike mechanic and I have never seen a tire this tight. I have battled with this thing on three different occasions and I am giving up. I have no issues with any other tires on these rims.

Great in the 29'er version

This tire for 29 'er is really the cat's meow. Honestly, I see more of these at mountain bike races for 29'er then most other brands. Particularly seem to see them on 29'er single speed. When in doubt, try them out, don't like them, return them?
