the venturi knickers are the gear to wear in nasty wet conditions. they are more than comfortable for an epic ride and totally h2o proof.
a bit on the noisy side, but...

For road or trail riding, if it's raining and cold, these babies are amazing. I just toured the Pacific Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles in the midst of a 14 day storm, and they really came through for me a handful of times.

They're comfortable, they're durable, they're light, and the really really really work.

If you can justify the price, get them.
