Don't end it all with a massive scorpion, protect your neck.

Hard spills and crashes are a fact of life for the serious rider, which is why you need Leatt’s Sport Brace to protect the most vulnerable part of your anatomy—your neck. Countless downhill and motocross competitors around the world credit Leatt neck collars with enabling them to walk away from otherwise catastrophic accidents. Developed after years of research, the Leatt Club Brace re-directs the force of helmet impact, and prevents extreme neck movement like hyper-flexion or extension and spinal column compression, and brings the head to a controlled stop. On long-distance rides, the Leatt Club Brace can also offer some relief from neck fatigue. Weighing in at just 30 ounces, (850g—size M) the Leatt brace allows adequate movement, and works with most types of body armor and chest protectors.

question

Why isn't the club shown on Leatt's site January 9, 2011

Why isn't the club shown on Leatt's site as a MTB brace?

answer

The Club Brace is the Leatt that most of us have been using for the past couple years for riding our mountain bikes. This year is the first that Leatt has designed/marketed braces specifically for our sport with the DBX braces. You should still find the Club under their moto brace.

unanswered question

How does this fit with some of the other September 5, 2010

How does this fit with some of the other armor? Seems like the back of the neck brace would interfere or get in the way of my spine protector on my 661 jacket?

How have you guys handled that?

The first few times i rode with it sucked. The details in the instructions are not so good as far as sizing goes. I still don't know the ideal fit. I just went off of comfort but don't know if it's set up right for safety. After about 4 or 5 motos with it I am finally getting used to it.It just makes sense to wear one of these. Why not?

I bought one of these after doing a lawn dart style over the bars crash into some rocks. I'll admit it's not the coolest piece of gear to own and I wasn't stoked about the price but it does give piece of mind knowing that it's there. I was concerned that the brace would be big, bulky, and that I would feel like a dog wearing a cone from the vet but when I got it I was surprised at how unobtrusive it actually is. The fit is really customizable. After one or two laps out on the DH trail I don't even notice it while on the bike, and hey, it costs less than a ride in an ambulance let alone a wheelchair.

Love this brace, takes about one ride to get used to it. Now I hardly know its on. Make sure you buy the club though, the lower cost brace has no adjustments and is made for motorcross specifically.
