Don't turn your back on the Flux.
The Fox Flux helmet has been around the mountain a few times. We almost see it as a stylish mullet; business up front, party in the back. It's a helmet that combines the freestyle shape with cross country ventilation, taking the best from both worlds into a unique skid lid that looks good on the trails, on the ramps, in the parking lot, even riding down the street. The freestyle shape is best seen from behind, where the helmet has a familiar curve in addition to extending lower than most cross country helmets. The XC heritage is best seen up front, with the visor and big air scoops work together to help channel air flow over the head. A first for helmets is the spoiler atop the rear of the lid. Inspired by motocross, it channels the discharge air flow to keep the helmet streamlined, which means fast. 20 vents let the air come and go as it pleases. The Fox Flux helmet also uses a Detox secondary retention system. Colors are Black/White, Matte Black, Military, and White. Sizes are Small/Medium or Large/X-Large.

My Favorite Helmet
I love the coverage and the venting is good. The only beef I have with the Flux is the rear adjusting system, it is hard to adjust with it on your head but not a big deal. I like helmets with a dial to adjust tension and the Flux has two sliders. I took a header with this helmet and it did the job.

Great helmet
Never had a single issue with this lid. It recently cracked thru the forehead foam in a crash - did its job. Very comfy, lots of vents feel good when you're moving. Only thing I can even come up with to moan about is not even helmet design, just that I questioned my decision to get the flat matte black color when climbing exposed shadeless fireroad, roasting in the midday California summer sun... going to get a lighter color next time.

Good head coverage
Great Helmet , It covers the back area of the head and the big vents keep your head nice a cool when you are climbing up the mountain. The helmet looks sharp and menacing ! I would definately recommend this helmet for XC, all mountain, and Free ride.

Fox Flux Helmet
Helmet is very comfortable, extremely light, well vented, and looks great. I got it on sale and couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks to Huck N Roll.

Fox Flux Brain Bucket
The Fox Flux helmet is a lot cooler lookin than my other helmet. The helmet fits very snug and secure to the mellon thanks to the ratcheting system in back and the easy to figure out strap up front. It's protection seems to be where you need it, though I have been fortunate enough so far not to need it. It comes with several thicknesses of padding so you can custom fit it to any oddly shaped head. Not saying you have an oddly shaped head. And as I said before, it looks cooler than most. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is due to the fact that I don't look good in a helmet. I recommend this helmet for your riding purposes and the occasional hard night of drinking. Nice helmet
Decent quality helmet that you would expect from Fox. Used this helmet for several weeks with no complaints. Adjustable strap is really key.

Great Helmet
I usually ride w/ a full face but needed something with good protection and a little cooler for the longer rides. Fits great, really light with great ventilation. So comfortable I hardly noticed it was on my dome.

WOW
True to fit and doesn't move around when riding. Extra protection is provided on the lower back part of this helmet. Added bonus... Your head won't look like a mushroom. The design of this helmet is outstanding and very stylish.

Good, but?
Great design. Helmet is solid. Bulletproof shell/thickness and no rattling. However, padding inside helmet is separating at seam after 2.5 months use. Warranty should cover it?

Great first helmet
I've never had a bicycle helmet before this one. Grew up without thinking I ever needed one. Now I'm a little older and wiser and don't care what others think as much. That said, I always ride with one now. This helmet is not nearly as hot as it looks. My baseball cap is hotter. The vents work well even at the low speeds I travel. I would recommend this to anyone on the fence about wearing a helmet. Doesn't look like a tour de france futuristic one. Sunglasses fit well with it also.

Fox Flux helmet
Cool looks (Although I still think visors are a touch weird on helmets...) and fits my oddly shaped cranium well. If I get a year or three out of it I will be very happy...I am becoming quite the Fox fanboy, whether I like it or not...

Great helmet!
This helmet trumps any old helmet I've had. Fits snug and has good back of head protection. I see this helmet on lots of people on the trail. Says something right there.

Great helmet
The tightening mechanisms in the back make a great fit. Also the vents provide ample airflow while riding. All around great helmet

Fits better than any helmet I've owned
Just got this and right out of the box with minimal effort I had it adjusted for fit. Easy to adjust and the fit is the best I've had in a helmet so far (I've had Giro, Bell, Trek, & Specialized in the past). Its a little heavier than my last helmet (Specialized), but the fit more than makes up for it. It is well vented so we'll see how it does in the hot Utah sun in the coming months. Like others, I cut the strap down. This helmet seems much more bomber than my past helmets which all met their demise from crashing & getting cracked. This helmet can't be beat for $49.95.

Great for Commuting
Lots of coverage... especially in the back where most helmets are lacking. A little heavy, but that's because it has so much extra protection. Great retention system. Very comfortable. Hopefully will keep brains in cranium and off headlights if necessary.

I wear a 7 1/4 hat, and the Medium helmet fits me perfectly. The L/XL was way too loose, and just flopped around on my head.

I wear a 7 1/2 (59.6cm) hat comfortably. Went for the L/XL helmet and just tried it on. Barely snug enough to keep on my head with everything all the way tight. Shell also looks giant on my head. Returning to try out a S/M.

i believe that is a M for Fox. I think at 7 3/8 it switches to the L/XL size

Comfort and protection
this is a very solid helmet. I wear a size 7 baseball hat and purchased the s\m . The fit is amazing. I love the feature of the front straps connecting to the helmet. This allows you to wear sunglasses comfortably without them getting pushed into the side of your head. I feel safer having more coverage than the average bike helmet. It is a small price to pay to save your head.
