Roll your bike like a massive truck over roots, rocks, and gnar when you ride in the Endura Men’s Hummvee Bike Short w/ Liner. These shorts feel so good you might just think you’re riding shotgun in an obnoxious SUV instead of pedaling along in the saddle. Endura gave these shorts a whole gaggle of pockets, some side-ventilation zips, and a comfortable 6-panel Clickfast liner. The stretch lumbar panel and included adjustable belt prevents Joe The Plumber crack. The Humvee short has a Euro-inspired fit; we suggest ordering a size up from your normal size.
Bottom Line: Get all the comfort of a massive SUV without feeling like a complete a-hole.
The only negitive is that the sizing is off. Go one size bigger and you should be good. For the money you get a good liner short and a great outside short. Removable liner, map pockets, zip pockets, removable belt, comfortable, good looks, my all around favorite bike shorts.
After reading the other reviews I ordered the short in xl, I wear a size 36 and these were a perfect fit. Liner is over-padded and still undersized but outside that these are awesome shorts for trail riding, lightweight- good venting- durable and ample, secure pockets for those of us who don't wear packs. I'm ordering another pair!
Order a size or two larger then usual and then enjoy. These shorts are great, durable, and stretcy. They stick with you when getting behind the saddle and dont catch the seat on the return. The chamois is perfect and keeps you comfortable on days two and three when your back side can be rough,But it is not a over kill diaper. Legs are tight so if you are quadzilla go up two sizes on these shorts
I'm a true 36". Ordered a Large. They would not go past my knees. Order a full size up for sure, maybe 2 if your are on the upper end. The liner is over padded and fells like you dropped a deuce in your shorts, but I think they will pack down and be fine. The shell is great and will take a lot abuse I think. Size up on these!!
...I've very happy with these shorts. If you do buy them get a size larger. The sizing for these are way off. Once you get a pair that fits, you'll be very happy with them. Ride on!
i ordered these shorts in a Large following the suggested sizing chart...which says they will fit waists 36 to 38.....there is no way...i wear a 36" waist and usually need a belt to hold my pants up...i can barely get these things past my knees! i wish i had seen the previous review before ordering...as i would have ordered XL's.... other than the sizing dilema..they look like nice shorts...so they get a bad rating for sizing misinformation
Definitely go one size up. I wear a (loose) 34 waist normally, but went with a size L. The outer shorts are great and fit well. The liner on the other hand is what is too tight. I had to roll the waistband over once to allow it to fit comfortably, but it still compresses my thighs. Lots of padding, but it feels like you messed your shorts. I'll probably go buy a different liner and wear that.
These shorts kick serious butt! Oakley seems to have taken a step backwards, but Endura is the new wave in shorts. Great fit, function, and padding. I like all of the zippered pockets too.
Material is fairly heavy. Probably quite durable but pretty hot where I live. Size: ouch! I have a 34 inch waist so I tried a Med (as suggested by the chart) couldn't pull them up much past my knees. Returned them and got a Large. I can wear them, but after about 6-8 miles they start really binding my thighs. Should have sucked up my pride and got the XL.
These are pretty nice shorts but I usually wear a medium and ordered a large, which was way too snug! I hesitate to order an x-large because they may be too small. My waist is 34 inches.
I ordered my appropriate size and these things are way tight. I was wanting baggy shorts...I may as well have ordered some tight cycling shorts the way these fit. An utter disappointment for the price.
